Inrush current test with a digital oscilloscope

Switching power supply can be the source of high frequency noise. When you first switch it on it causes the generation of current with a very short response time. Such inrush current can reach rather high values. We have found a solution for this measurement task. To test such inrush current and analyze it it’s recommended to use Rigol DS6000, DS/ MSO4000, DS/MSO2000 series oscilloscopes with additional probes and special Rigol Ultra Power Analyzer software.
