World Metrology Day 2009. Measurements in Commerce

It’s well-known that trade is necessary for the support of economic stability and growth. It’s a natural part of our live. And on the World Metrology Day it’s especially important to stress the contribution of the metrology to the trade which is so-called engine of the economic growth. In the following article the connection between these two fields is analyzed turning back to the whole history of metrology development and metrology is considered one of the most important aspects for making the economic situation better.
