From the moment of its appearance in 2005 LXI standard (LAN eXtensions for Instrumentation) is used in more and more fields: electronic technology test, automated measuring complexes, the systems of remote data acquisition and manufacturing process control, robot technology and many others. The capability to synchronize LXI devices allows to start measuring/process right at the time set, synchronize measurements or output signals without the use of special synchronization cables and to mark the time for all events/processes and data.

This article has described the techniques, goals and trends in signal monitoring and frequency management of RF spectrum. New technologies based on distributed low-cost RF sensors have been shown to improve the detection capabilities of monitoring systems and a method for determining the geolocation of wireless emitters has been introduced.

Nowadays Computer mathematics system (CMS) is intensively penetrating into the measuring technology. Matrix CMS MATLAB has become the world standard of the software for the solution, programming and mathematical modeling of serious scientific and technical tasks. Along with the improvements of power supplies hardware special means used for the connection with PC are being developed and improved. One of such means is the appearance of new LXI standard. LAN (eXtensions for Instrumentation) is an open, accessible standard identifying specifications and solutions relating to the functional test, measurement, and data acquisition industry. LXI Standard was developed by the LXI Consortium - a not-for-profit corporation made up of industry-leading test and measurement companies. The LXI standard defines the communications protocols for instrumentation and data acquisition systems using open-standard LAN (Ethernet) - accessible and versatile interface, that must be implemented for instrumentation to communicate effectively. In high-tech fields the problem of measuring was always at the first place and the measurement of dynamic processes can be considered the leader in this direction. MIC-300M device adoption and its modifications let experts provide the register of dynamic processes. With frequency 216 kHz/channel, wide dynamic range up to 120 dB and high metrological performance this device has been used almost for all types of measurement. Its use has enabled the development of new measuring methods.
