The 15th anniversary of "Test & Measuring Instruments and Systems" magazine

Dear readers!

December 1, 1996 is the birthday of our first magazine issue. For these 15 years we’ve been doing our best to show you various innovations in the field of test and measuring instruments, to demonstrate different development tendencies of new technology, to tell about new measurement and processing methods for the received information, to offer photo-reports from exhibitions both Russian and foreign, to offer you interviews with leading specialists-manufacturers, metrologists, company leaders, to inform about scientific conferences and seminars as well as about any changes in the regulatory and legal base in the field of measurement assurance in Russia.

Today our magazine represents a developmental practical reference material for professionals. On site www.kipis.ru our readers can learn about a measurement encyclopedia where the majority of special terms are represented as “alive” pictures or video files. Magazine printed version has long ago stopped containing everything that we’d like to tell our readers. That is why some years ago we started to attach a CD disk for our subscribers. Nowadays, following the modern methods of information presentation, we have transferred this section to our site www.kipis.ru. We are growing together with information technologies and globalization and right now we offer not only electronic magazine version but also its English variant.

The secret of our magazine success consists of our highly qualified team as well as of long-term friendly cooperation in the field of engineering between the presidents of international companies working in the sphere of measuring technology and the leaders of Russian state organizations, famous metrologists of the world as well as with the specialists of different countries. We are proud to say that we get information the first, at first hand.

Today you would hardly find a person who could remember the way the very first “KIPiS” issue looked which was printed with a duplicator. For the 15 years of publishing our magazine deserves the leader status in its segment and it has become very popular among scientists and specialists in the field of metrology and engineering. Nowadays KIPiS is one of the most widely read serial publications in Russia which highlights modern tendencies in the world of test and measurement technology, technical regulation and metrology.
