The end of May is marked by the outstanding event in the metrology world — 9th Moscow International Forum «Precision Measurement — The Basis of Quality and Safety» was held on May 21-23. This year the event was remarkable for its scale: several exhibitions covered almost 6.500 square meters, more than 300 companies participated in the event and demonstrated more than 2.500 innovative devices. 5th Moscow International Symposium of metrologists «Precision. The 25th electronica, the International Trade Fair for Electronic Components, Systems and Applications, took place in Munich starting from November 13 and closed its doors on November 16 with more than 72,000 visitors. A total of 2,669 exhibitors from 49 countries presented the future of electronics and showcased application-oriented solutions during the four-day fair, which revolved around intelligent and energy efficient solutions in the sectors for energy storage, LEDs and smart grids.

From October 16 to 19 «ITE Siberian Fair» exhibition organizer held «IDES/ Infrastructure Development of Siberia – 2012» («Sibpolytech») international industrial exhibition. During the exhibition there were lots of crucial questions raised concerning water consumption and resource-saving.

The 2d international exhibition «NEW ELECTRONICS» was successfully held on April 17-19, Moscow. Over 180 companies from 10 countries, leading world suppliers, distributors and manufacturers took a part in this exhibition. «NEW ELECTRONICS- 2012» was held within «Innovative Russia», large-scale exhibition project, and allowed demonstrating different innovations in the field of electronic equipment, technology, innovative solutions.

The main event of Russian electronics — 15th International Forum «ExpoElectronica» — was held on April 11-13, Moscow. Totally this forum consisted of three exhibitions devoted to different themes: Expo Electronica 2012 — an international exhibition of electronic components, ElectronTechExpo 2012 — an exhibition of technological equipment and materials for electronic and electrical industry products manufacturing, and LEDTechExpo — an exhibition of LED technologies, materials and components. About 1100 representatives of world-known brands participated in this Forum, the number of companies reached 400 pcs, about 19 countries from all over the world. All of the Forum participants introduces their latest innovative measuring instruments for electrical and radio measurements, for microelectronics control, PCBs, test and measuring systems, laboratory equipment etc.

18 November 2011. productronica, international trade fair for innovative electronics production, closed its doors after four days having posted a substantial rise in the number of visitors. 38,500 visitors from more than 80 countries represent an increase of around 34 per cent compared with the previous show. Starting from October 4 till 6, 2011, there was the 8th International exhibition held - Aerospace Testing Russia 2011. The exhibition unified leading specialists from different spheres: test and measuring equipment, systems and technologies of aerospace industry. At present time this is the only specialized exhibition of test equipment and technologies of aerospace industry in Russia. There were also brand new devices introduced as well as the equipment for quality assurance, security, service ability of devices and materials from different countries: Russia, Germany, Finland, France, Czech Republic and the United States. Companiesexhibitors held variable seminars, conferences, round tables and presentations devoted to innovative technologies of aerospace industry which were aimed not only at mutual cooperation but also let the specialists exchange their experience with each other. Manufactures, customers and all visitors concerned had a unique chance to meet at one place, communicate with each other as well as to participate in the organized events.

August 21-25, 2011, Washington, DC (Gaylord National Convention Center, National Harbor, MD, USA) hosted an international symposium of metrology which gathered more than 2,000 people. The motto of the symposium «50 Years: Reflecting On The Past — Looking To The Future».
