Rohde & Schwarz announces acquisition of Adyton Systems

Rohde & Schwarz announces acquisition of Adyton Systems

04/09/2014

Rohde & Schwarz has successfully completed the process of acquiring Adyton Systems AG, a Leipzig-based producer of next-generation firewalls. The Munich-based electronics group has been an Adyton Systems AG investor since 2011. The Leipzig-based company has been operating as a fully owned independent subsidiary of the Rohde & Schwarz group of companies since December 2013 and is currently in the process of being converted into a limited liability company (GmbH).

Adyton Systems CEO Klaus Mochalski says: "The acquisition boosts our reputation, and that is no small matter in the field of IT security solutions. It is always a challenge for a young company to gain a foothold and assert itself in a field of established competitors. Reliance on proven products and guarantees play a decisive role when purchasing security technologies. As a part of the Rohde & Schwarz group, we will be in an even stronger position as a reliable partner, helping our customers implement long-term security strategies."

Executive Vice President at Rohde & Schwarz Peter Riedel states: "The IT security field represents an important and interesting growth market for Rohde & Schwarz. In our position as an investor, the acquisition of Adyton Systems was the logical next step in our strategy to integrate new technical expertise into our group of companies. It is also a demonstration of our commitment to Leipzig, a city where we will continue to invest.

Founded in 2011, Adyton Systems ensures maximum business network security and effectively prevents data loss arising from current and future threats by integrating all security functions into a single solution. The company recently released the latest version of its next-generation firewall. NETWORK PROTECTOR v5.0 takes into account today’s widespread use of mobile devices, offering optimized administrative tools with the same high level of security for companies that have especially high security needs.
