Rohde & Schwarz and MediaTek present world’s first test solution for A-BeiDou location based services (LBS)
11.08.2017 | 17Rohde & Schwarz and MediaTek have successfully completed the verification of location based services (LBS) in the U-plane and C-plane for A BeiDou, the new GNSS satellite positioning system from China. The R&S TS-LBS test solution allows mobile manufacturers, chipset manufacturers, test houses and network operators to verify chipsets and mobile devices in order to obtain permission to operate them in a particular network.
01.08.2017 | 30The new R&S ZNLE vector network analyzer from Rohde & Schwarz brings excellent RF performance and faster measurements to the economy class. This easy-to-use instrument is the lightest, most compact VNA in its class, making S parameter measurements as easy as ABC.
19.07.2017 | 44It was just this past April that Rohde & Schwarz introduced the new, intelligent storage and file management solution at the NAB trade show in Las Vegas. The IBM Spectrum Scale file system on the R&S SpycerBox Cell and R&S SpycerBox Ultra TL considerably facilitates workflows. Together with its partner, system integrator Jordi AG, Rohde & Schwarz landed a project for Zürich-based customer tpc.
23.06.2017 | 52Rohde & Schwarz has enhanced its R&S Scope Rider, adding triggering and decoding software for the CAN flexible data rate (CAN-FD) and single edge nibble transmission (SENT) bus systems. It is currently the only portable oscilloscope capable of analyzing CAN, LIN, CAN-FD and SENT bus signals, making it the perfect tool for troubleshooting automotive applications – from commissioning to drive tests.
Rohde & Schwarz oscilloscopes with integrated generator facilitate debugging and deliver automated compliance tests
23.05.2017 | 106Rohde & Schwarz is the first oscilloscope manufacturer to offer an integrated arbitrary waveform and pattern generator in the lab class. With the generator, all R&S RTO2000 and R&S RTE oscilloscopes can deliver test signals on two analog and eight digital channels, making it possible to test complex circuits in a minimum of space using a single instrument. Even fully automated compliance tests can be performed.
21.04.2017 | 134The R&S ELEKTRA EMI test software has been designed for easy and intuitive EMI measurements during product development. It supports EMI test receivers and spectrum analyzers from Rohde & Schwarz. Even development engineers or technicians who only occasionally use these instruments to measure electromagnetic interference are able to configure automated test sequences quickly, often right in the development lab, using GTEM cells or line impedance stabilization networks (LISN).
04.04.2017 | 173The new R&S RT-ZVC02/04 multichannel power probe can measure across large current and voltage ranges without having to switch ranges, making it possible to monitor the power consumption of chipsets, radio modules and wearables such as smartwatches. When used in combination with an R&S RTE or R&S RTO oscilloscope, the current drain can be clearly correlated with analog and digital control signals, enabling developers to optimize the battery life of such wearables and wireless devices early in the development cycle.
24.03.2017 | 140The new test options for the R&S RTO2000 series oscilloscopes with a bandwidth of 6 GHz make these instruments ideal for testing fast communications interfaces. The new options support the 5 Gbit/s SuperSpeed USB and PCI Express (PCIe) 2.0 interfaces. There is also a new solution for USB power delivery (USB-PD).
10.03.2017 | 136The new R&S RT-ZVC multichannel power probe, in combination with an R&S CMW radio communication tester, monitors the power consumption of chipsets, radio modules and mobile devices. It is the only solution available on the market that can correlate battery consumption data with RF signaling events. And it accomplishes this with a measurement resolution of 18 bits, making measurements in the nanoampere range possible.
28.02.2017 | 211The R&S CMW500 wideband radio communication tester now emulates WLAN networks in line with the IEEE 802.11ac standard. The established test platform thus supports all current cellular and non-cellular wireless standards. Just a single test instrument covers all tests required for components with multiple integrated wireless interfaces – including interoperability tests.
