10/12/2021 | 42PCTEST Engineering Laboratory, LLC, which recently became part of the Element Materials Technology Group, is offering 5G Voice over New Radio (VoNR) testing utilizing the R&S CMX500 5G radio communication tester. The R&S CMX500 can simulate a 5G standalone network including IMS services and exercise all critical VoNR functions.
New R&S RTO6 oscilloscopes from Rohde & Schwarz deliver instant insights thanks to enhanced usability and performance
09/24/2021 | 78Rohde & Schwarz introduced the next generation of its R&S RTO 6 GHz class oscilloscope. The new R&S RTO6 digital oscilloscope offers six different bandwidth models from 600 MHz to 6 GHz and a sample rate of up to 20 Gsample/s. The fully integrated test solution for the time and frequency domain, as well as protocol and logic analysis, supports design engineers from all industries. The instrument features a high waveform update rate, excellent signal fidelity, a uniquely powerful digital trigger and responsive deep memory.
Rohde & Schwarz and VIAVI demonstrate 5G NR high-speed downlink IP data throughput using 8x FR1 and FR2 component carriers
09/10/2021 | 93Leveraging their close cooperation on 5G NR implementation in their wireless test solutions, the T&M specialists Rohde & Schwarz and VIAVI Solutions have successfully accomplished high-speed data throughput end-to-end test of 5G NR eMBB. By achieving 7.5 Gbps, the two companies herald the new age of high data throughput, showing that it is possible to validate very high data rate applications over a 5G network without performance compromises.
08/24/2021 | 87Rohde & Schwarz has been chosen to supply the Quick Personnel Security (QPS) scanners to Heathrow Airport, reducing wait times for passengers and enhancing security checkpoints.
08/13/2021 | 101Rohde & Schwarz, a global leader in broadcast media technologies, has extended the functionality of its R&SŪVENICE platform for live studio production. In particular, it has moved to support 4k Ultra HD signals, using either 12G or 2SI formats.
08/06/2021 | 101Conformance tests are vital for mobile communications technology as mobile network operators worldwide rely on the GCF conformance certification to accept mobile devices in their networks. The availability of validated RRM conformance tests in both FR1 and FR2 frequency bands is crucial for a successful rollout of 5G NR technology worldwide.
Rohde & Schwarz partners with UNH-IOL to enhance high-speed Ethernet and InfiniBand compliance testing
07/23/2021 | 115Test and measurement specialist Rohde & Schwarz and the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL) extend their ongoing collaboration to expand Ethernet and InfiniBand compliance testing. Both have pooled their expertise to provide methods of implementation (MOI) for precise, fast and error-free compliance testing of high-speed cables and backplanes in line with IEEE 802.3 (up to IEEE 802.3ck) and InfiniBand standards (up to rate designator HDR), using vector network analysis test equipment from Rohde & Schwarz.
07/16/2021 | 139Rohde & Schwarz continues to expand its range of basic power supplies with the new R&S NGA100 series. The R&S NGA100 is available in four models, providing a choice of single and dual outputs with up to 35 V/6 A per output, or 100 V/2 A per output. Single output models supply up to 40 W, dual output models up to 80 W power. The dual model outputs can be combined to provide up to 200 V or 12 A.
07/09/2021 | 134The level of integration of 5G base stations in the FR1 frequency range is increasing, as a new generation of base stations, designated the 1-O type, is becoming more and more common. The 1-O type base stations operate at FR1 frequency range and they have antenna arrays with integrated transceivers, without any access to internal RF ports. This requires all conformance and production testing to be performed over-the-air (OTA). However, OTA testing can be technically challenging.
Rohde & Schwarz announces new IEEE 802.3ch MultiGBASE-T1 Automotive Ethernet standard compliance test solution
06/25/2021 | 146Most of the requirements for higher data rates stem from sensors like cameras around the car, 5G Telematic units (TCUs) and networking backbones for multiple domain controllers. MultiGBASE-T1 Ethernet standard meets these needs by including 2.5G, 5G and 10G speeds. Compared to 1000BASE-T1, MultiGBASE-T1 uses PAM4 (4 levels) modulation with symbol rates of 1.4, 2.8 and 5.6 GHz. The Open Alliance TC15 PMA compliance test specification addressing this standard is still in a draft state.
