Agilent Technologies Launches First Handheld RF Power Meter

04/14/2010

Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) announced the release of the new Agilent V3500A Handheld RF Power Meter, the latest addition to its industry-leading range of power meters and power sensors.

The palm-sized V3500A is the first handheld power meter from Agilent. The meter includes a built-in display and integrated power sensor. The meter is an ideal and affordable power measurement solution for installation and maintenance environments, as well as for the R&D lab.

The V3500A power meter features a broad frequency range of 10MHz to 6GHz, a wide dynamic range of -63dBm to +20dBm, and absolute accuracy up to ±0.21dB. The V3500A is packed with essential average power measurement capabilities, which provides good repeatability and accurate measurements. The meter simplifies field tasks and provides typical power measurements while ensuring lower startup costs.

"With the increasing need for power measurements in various industries, the expansion of our power meter and power sensor line brings greater convenience to a broader range of electronic, electrical and industrial applications," said Ee Huei Sin, vice president and general manager of Agilent's Basic Instruments Division. "This introduction is further evidence of our ongoing commitment to bring Agilent-quality measurements to cost-conscious engineers, technicians and educators."
