2011 International CES

2011 International CES

11/22/2010

The International CES is produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the preeminent trade association promoting growth in the consumer technology industry. CEA represents more than 2,000 corporate members involved in the design, development, manufacturing, distribution and integration of consumer electronics products. All profits from CES are reinvested into industry services, including technical training and education, industry promotion, engineering standards development, market research and legislative advocacy.

The first CES took place in New York City in June of 1967 with 200 exhibitors and 17,500 attendees. Since then, CES has grown more than ten-fold.

An independent audit, performed by Veris Consulting LLC, verifies all attendance, and the numbers for 2010 are in! Two thousand five hundred exhibitors showcased their latest products on more than 1.4 million net square feet of exhibit space, with a total of 126,641 in attendance.

CES attracts the "who's who" of the technology and related industries, including C-level executives from the entertainment, wireless and consumer electronics industries. More than 8,000 attendees represented companies with more than $500 million in total annual sales.

Verified registrants representing the United States, Canada, Mexico and more than 130 other countries include manufacturers, retailers, content providers and creators, broadband developers, wireless carriers, cable and satellite TV providers, installers, engineers, corporate buyers, government leaders, financial analysts and the media from around the world.
