The HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition), HKTDC International ICT Expo and HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) opened on 13 April 2010 with an emphasis on environmental solutions and cutting-edge products, including 3D technology.

More than 3,200 exhibitors are gathered at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre for the concurrent fairs. Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the shows continue through 16 April.

The show is displaying the newest products and solutions in information and communications technology, including telecommunications, multimedia, the Internet, digital entertainment, computer and peripherals. The event features three new zones – Telecom, Networking & Wireless Technologies, Cloud Computing & Open Source, and Smartphone Technology.

Returning this year are thematic zones, including Computer & Peripherals, Enterprise Solutions, IT Outsourcing, Digitainment & Multimedia, E-Logistics & Retail Technologies and Homegrown Innovations. Hong Kong honorees from the 2009 China Outstanding Software Products Award are also in the spotlight at a new pavilion acknowledging outstanding developments in electronics software.

Other highlights include the INET Asia Regional Conference, an online event initiated by the Internet Society Hong Kong, a seminar on the Japanese technology known as QR Code and conferences addressing hot topics such as smartphones and cloud computing.

Lighting Fair

Rounding out the trio of events is the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair. More than 380 exhibitors from nine countries and regions are showcasing their products at the fair, with Germany, Russia, Singapore and Thailand represented for the first time.
